Re-branding

A logo re-branding has been on the cards for quite some time. And what better time to get onto a new look and feel than now, when I'm putting together a look book to go online? Why now? Gilded Sands, I feel, is at the perfect conjunction of gaining awareness through the local media; having the general populace now getting to know about us and very soon to be expanding production. Quite intense milestones to be encountered in just a short year.

It just feels right.

This new logo manages to still encapsulate what Gilded Sands stands for, while offering a cleaner aesthetic. Not nearly as fussy and detailed as the previous logo was; the new logo offers a bolder approach to what my design philosophy is. This new logo is also brilliantly timed for the launch of my first collection as an established designer, at Swahili Fashion Week in early December, which I am starting on Monday.
